I actually spent Thanksgiving eating the traditional meal with 70 or so of my companions and my Dad who was awesome enough to come and visit me. However, there were some preholiday festivities.
Most of my sessions with my tutor include me writing a page or two in Spanish to be closely critiqued for grammar and spelling. Afterwards, I tell a story or explain more and then we discuss the topic. Being the last session my tutor brought her oldest daughter and we talked about Thanksgiving. After the session I had prepared a fun activity for us to do.
Here they are hard at work. We did it at my favorite cafe and the waiters got a kick out of watching and listening in on what Thanksgiving is all about.
Here is my best 8 year old friend with her finished product. Each leaf has something she is thankful for. Most of the leaves have names of her family, but you can see my name on the yellow leaf second from the top left corner. She is a really great kid!!!Here are our three finished products. I still have mine hung up on my refrigerator.
