Scenes from Puebla

Popocatepetl the second tallest peak/volcano in Mexico is normally smoking. But why wouldn't he be? Legend has it that he lost his love to sickness when he was fighting in a war proving himself worthy of her. Iztaccihuatl is located to the right of smoking Popocatepetl.
On the other side of the city you can find Malinche. It is said that another warrior went off to war and when he returned his love had also died. The volcano is the warrior bent over weeping and the small hill to the right the tombstone.
Neither of which can be seen from the main city plaza.
Then there are little things that remind me I am not in Texas, like my neighbors pet goat.
Or seeing a random chair with chains on the sidewalk on my way to school.

Putting the "Train" into Training

Puebla has a wonderful train museum. I went with my language instructor and we had a blast climbing around and touring all the cars.
